Welcome to the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Working Group Blog!
Economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR) form a large part of international human rights law. They play a huge role in the rights of every individual across the world, but their realisation varies drastically. Through this blog, we hope to keep you updated on factual and legal developments in the area of ESCR, and give you some food for thought with some fascinating articles by members of the ESCR Working Group!
The Blog has four main sections:
- News stories relating to ESCR – to spark discussion and see current developments in the field;
- ‘ESCR 101’ – this page will feature reader-friendly explanations of different ESCR, and different issues in relation to them
- Working Group member database – information on each of the contributing members of the Working Group, including a list of recent publications
- An events section, with upcoming events being organised or participated in by Working Group members.
If you would like to contribute a short article/case comment etc., please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
